Biodanza was born from a deep meditation on the meaning of life and wellbeing. Its goal is the harmonious development of our potential, thanks to a new concept of health and re-learning to live. It is a system of integration of the human being stimulated by Music, Rhythm and Emotion.
Its name comes from "bios" (life), and "danza" (dance). Biodanza is thus the “Dance of Life”, an integrated movement full of senses. With softness, progressiveness, poetry and respect, the workshops offer an exploration of 5 great dimensions of teh human: 
- Vitality: to feel our energy, our impulse to face the world.
- Affectivity: to feel love, tenderness, the respect, solidarity.
- Creativity: to put creativity in each act of our life.
- Sexuality: to feel desire and the pleasure of living.
- Transcendence: to feel united with all that exists.
From week to week, the emotional support of the group enables us all to develop our potential. This is waiting only for this moment. We can open up to new feelings, to another way of thinking of oneself and of the world, to a new manner of relating to others, an new “Art of living”. The workshop makes it possible to experience joy, pleasure, sharing, and true movement.
Each person will find her own natural "danced" movement and will develop her potential for expression. Each person will feel more alive, more enthusiastic and more trusting.
2. What happen exactly? It consists of a succession of simple movements on expressive music (primitive rhythms, Latinos and modern, jazz, classical, music of pictures, folklore…). Each person performs this out with her own potential.
No previous knowledge or particular physical ability is necessary. Every person makes the movements as she feels, according to the proposition:
- Alone.
- In pair.
- Or in a group.
Each participant is surprised to discover the pleasure and the ease with which she can move naturally and freely and enter in the “Natural Movement of Life”. Biodanza privileged the “present moment intensely lived, here and now”. 3. Why practice Biodanza? - To add more life to your life.

4. Workshop for the family (mother and children).
These workshops propose gradually and carefully to reinforce the family links and to improve communication.
The ways are simple and accessible to all.
- For moms with young children: to be together, play, move, walk, laugh…
- For teenage girls accompanied by their mom. To share an activity of relaxation or each one can be fully herself and live a happy complicity.
5. The origin.
The Biodanza System was created by Rolando Toro born in 1924 in Chile. He was a lecturer in Psychology and Medical Anthropology at the Catholic University of Santiago, Chile. He lived in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Italy. In those countries he developed the Biodanza system, from large knowledge and research in biology, medicine, anthropology, psychology, human sciences and sciences of life. Today, Biodanza system is known and used in many countries, in its ordinary form, or in special applications like: clinical, educational or in business. Rolando Toro still gives workshop and dance with vitality and agility.
